I found craniosacral therapy over 20 years ago, and was startled that its subtlety and gentleness could lead to such profound results. I'd been to chiropractors and osteopaths, and was used to manipulative bodywork. This gentle approach was not something I 'believed in', and yet it was transforming!
After some life-changing experiences with Craniosacral therapy I was intrigued, and a fascination with this beautiful work began.
I continue to be in awe of the power of the body to unfold and heal, given the conditions to do so. It is a privilege to witness, as a body connects to its core of health, and finds a way to greater ease.
One of the osteopathic pioneers of the Craniosacral approach, Rollin Becker, instructed his students to “get out of the way”. This is what I try to do.
Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy is an invitation to the body, not a command or a manipulation. I sense, hold, invite, and follow.
Prior to working as a Craniosacral therapist, I worked with children and adolescents, supporting issues of stress and anxiety, motivation, ADHD and ASD.
I continue to be excited by current neuroscience research, as it uncovers the scientific biological connections behind bodywork and improved mental and physical well-being.
What's been known by bodyworkers for millennia, is finally cutting-edge science!
